Walt Disney World Resort 101

Walt Disney World Resort 101.  Yes, sometimes we just need to take a step back and start at the beginning.

In this episode, we take a look at the 4 different resort categories at Walt Disney World Resort.

Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villa are the 4 main categories, and each has a price point to fit every family’s budget.

Whether you are looking for a place to lay your head at the end of a long day, or you are looking to play on the water slides and have a character meal, there’s a resort option for you.

Karen and Jeff will walk you through each category, and even give you some example of resorts inside each with their unique insight.

Animal Kingdom Lodge, Haunted Mansion, and a Trip Report

Animal Kingdom Lodge was our weekend home as Karen and Jeff got away for a few days to celebrate their upcoming wedding anniversary.

Recording live from the Lodge, complete with background noise from drums, kids, music, and doors, they reflect on their visit to the resort, the Haunted Mansion special event, Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, and some restaurant reports.

Disney Dining for Foodies – and not so Foodies

Disney dining is such a huge part of the vacation experience, we felt it was necessary to give dining it’s own episode.

This week, we invited Renee Burger, a trained chef as well as a Dream Designer with My Mickey Vacation Travel to discuss the elevated dining options at Walt Disney World® Resort.

Honestly, we could spend about 10 episodes on Disney dining, so today we are focusing on the “foodie” experiences…..those that would really speak to those that appreciate and have a fondness for the dining experience.

Renee brings a special perspective to the Disney dining experience as a professionally trained chef who also teaches the culinary arts to others.

In this episode we discuss the elevated experiences at Disney Springs, the resorts, and the parks.  We also spend time chatting about the ultimate foodie experience, the Epcot International Food and Wind Festival.

We hope you enjoy this episode, and please share your comments below about your favorite dining experience.

Episode 4 – Adults Only at Walt Disney World

Adults Only at Walt Disney World.  Is this really a thing?  We say YES !!!

We are often asked the question “Are there things to do at Walt Disney World just for adults?”  The answer is an astounding Yes.  In fact, we visit the parks regularly without our kiddos.  Don’t get me wrong….I love our kiddo adventures.  But sometimes, it’s great to get away with just a spouse, or even with some adult friends.  In this episode, we explore a few fun things to day for the 18+ (and in some cases, 21+)  crowd.

We explore several of our favorite “date night” restaurants and night club destinations.

Park events such as the Epcot festivals and evening Magic Kingdom events are high on our list for adult-only adventures.

And don’t forget recreation and pampering in the spas or on the golf course.

Danny and Stacey are out of town this week, so Jeff and I explore some options, and share our favorite experiences as a couple at the parks and resorts.
